Who is Jimmy

16 Years of Warmth Behind the Bar

If you've ever walked into Karla's in New Hope, PA, you know Jimmy. For 16 years he's been the soul of that bar — the one who remembered your name, your drink, and whatever was weighing on you the last time you came in.

Jimmy has a heart of gold. He is the kind of person who makes everyone feel like a regular, whether it's your first visit or your five-hundredth. He's poured countless drinks and held space for countless people across nearly two decades of New Hope nights.

On Sunday, June 14th, 2026, Jimmy suffered a cardiac arrest. He spent days in the ICU, came off the ventilator, and on June 18th moved to a step-down unit. He is fighting his way back.

The medical costs ahead of him are immense. He has given so much of himself to this community — now it is our turn to give back.
